The objectives of the Alliance are to:
(a) promote and facilitate information sharing on tobacco control in Africa;
(b) conduct research on the tobacco epidemic and tobacco control policy in Africa;
(c) strengthen the capacities of individuals and civil society organisations involved in tobacco control in Africa ;
(d) promote and advocate for regional and national legislative and regulatory frameworks favourable for tobacco control in Africa ;
(e) mobilise and facilitate access to financial, human and technical resources required for tobacco control in Africa.
