Sierra Leone ratified the FCTC on 22 May 2009. Current tobacco use is 23.5% among youth aged 13-15 years and 25.8% among adults aged 25-64 years. Health warnings do not appear on tobacco packages and there is no ban on advertising, promotion and sponsorship.
