Uganda ratified the FCTC on 20 June 2007. Current tobacco use is 17.3% among youth aged 13-15 years and current tobacco smoking is 5.8% among adults aged 15 years and above. Text health warnings appear on 30% of the principal display areas of cigarette packages.
