Gambia’s tax policy for tobacco products is not aligned with recommendations of the World Health Organisaton (WHO).
Gambia does not have any legislation or regulation requiring 100% smoke-free environments. Consequently, smoking is not regulated in the country.
Gambia has specific government objectives for tobacco control as well as a national tobacco control technical unit or agency.
ADVERTISING, PROMOTION, SPONSORSHIP
Most forms of tobacco advertising are banned in Gambia. Some forms of promotion and sponsorship of tobacco products are also banned.
