Zambia’s tax policy for tobacco products is not aligned with recommendations of the World Health Organisaton (WHO).
Zambia has a regulation requiring 100% smoke-free environments in some public places. Funds are not allocated for the implementation of this policy.
Zambia does not have a toll-free smoking quit line/help line. Smoking cessation support is available in some parts of the country.
Zambia has a regulation requiring textual health warnings on packs of tobacco products but this is not specific on the surface area to be covered.
Zambia has a national tobacco control technical unit or agency but no specific government objectives for tobacco control.
