Niger’s tax policy for tobacco products is not aligned with recommendations of the World Health Organisaton (WHO).
Niger has a regulation or regulation requiring 100% smoke-free policy in some public places. Funds are dedicated for the enforcement of this policy
Niger does not have a toll-free smoking quit line/help line. Smoking cessation support is not available in the country.
Not implemented yet, Niger requires pictorial warnings covering 50% of the front and back of packs of cigarettes and other smoked tobacco products.
Niger does not have specific government objectives for tobacco control, but it has a national tobacco control technical unit or agency.
